Rescue in Nepal: A Miracle Amidst Disaster The 2km tunnel, built to connect two remote villages in Nepal's Mustang district, was intended to bring much needed infrastructure to a sparsely populated region.

Instead, it became a site of tragedy when a section of the tunnel collapsed on April 17th, trapping five workers inside.

Rescue efforts were launched within hours, and by the next day, three workers had been freed from the rubble. The remaining two were pulled out in a daring operation that lasted over 40 hours.
