The Navy's Shopping Spree: A Glimpse into the Lives of Modern Sailors The USS Abraham Lincoln's 250 day voyage has come to an end, and its crew is finally getting a taste of life on shore in Pattaya, Thailand.

After nine months at sea, navigating conflicts in the Middle East while facing their own internal struggles, nearly 5,000 sailors disembarked from their grey steel warship, eager for a break from the monotony of life on board.

The contrast between their neatly pressed navy t shirts and the beachwear clad locals couldn't have been starker. It's clear that these men and women have been cooped up on board for far too long.
