Royal Protocol and the Prince's Place Prince William, eldest son of King Charles, will represent his father at the funeral of Norway's late King Harald.
This move follows a long standing tradition in British royal protocol, where monarchs typically attend funerals of other heads of state with great ceremony.
However, Prince William has been chosen for this role before – he represented King Charles at the funeral of Pope Francis last year.
