Young people's employment prospects show slight improvement

The Slight Shrinking of the Neet Gap: What It Means and Doesn't Mean The latest statistics from the Office for National Statistics indicate that the number of young people not in education, employment or training (Neets) has begun to recede.

According to official figures, there were approximately 981,000 such individuals aged 16 to 24 between April and June this year, a decline of 30,000 from the previous quarter.
