Hong Kong to Propel Belt and Road Market Expansion, Finance Chief Says Hong Kong's financial chief, Paul Chan Mo po, has pledged to step up support for belt and road enterprises seeking to expand into new markets.
This move comes ahead of the 11th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong this week, an annual event promoting business among participating nations in Beijing's project to build a China centred global trading network.
The International Monetary Fund projects that emerging markets will grow by 3. 8 percent over the next two years, while developing economies are expected to expand by 4. 5 percent.
